Fast Album Formulas

by Lori Anderson

Vacations, day trips and fun adventures abound during the summertime. Chances are, after a fun escape you arrive home with lots of fun memories and a camera full of inspiring images. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to figure out how to quickly scrap all the photos. Follow these four steps to a fast album formula today, and you can check scrappin' those photos off your list. Plus, you'll have a wonderful keepsake of your trip to show your family and friends. And you'll love how our free template download will help you put pages together in no time.

Four Steps to a Finished Album

1. Determine Your Structure

Do you want to reserve one spread for each stop on your trip? Maybe you'd like to feature a different family member on each spread. Having a solid structure in place will help you prepare for the next steps of the process.

2. Narrow Your Photos

Select only your favorite photos to include in your album (editing is a good thing, I promise). I don't know one person who can scrap every single photo they take-and if they do, they don't take as many photos as I do. You don't have to delete the photos you don't use in your album, just be selective on which ones you print with the intent to scrapbook.

3. Repeat Your Design

There's no need to reinvent the wheel once you've settled on a great design. Stick to the basic layout structure for each layout in your album, but feel free to add fun embellishments or rotate the design for interest.

4. Finish Up

Once you've completed your spreads, place them in your album, or bind them together. Then add a title page, and you're good to go!
