Water Looks for Your Scrapbook Layouts

by Joannie McBride

So many summer scrapbook pages are about water fun, from sprinklers to pools to the beach. Bring the look and feel of water to your layout by creating a large wave motif in the background to move the viewer's eye through your page. Mat your wave with green for backyard or pool photos or tan for beach images. This will not only create a summery look, but it will feel like you are there splashing the water with your kids.

In addition to creating a wave motif in the background, match the title color with the wave color. This makes the blue color pop, and it also helps move the viewer's eye across the page because she is connecting all the blues together. Who knew there could be so many tips to making your layout "flow"!
