Scrapbook Layout Size Calculator

by Suzy Plantamura

Do you love to get inspiration from scrapbook layouts and sketches you see in scrapbook magazines and online? If so, there's a good chance you've run into a common problem among scrapbookers: transforming the layout you see into the page size and format you'd like to make. With our easy-to-use calculator, you'll be able to quickly determine the sizes of photos, borders, and more that you need to create your new layout.

Step 1: Measure the total width and height of the layout you're scraplifting
X inches
Step 2: Enter the dimensions of the layout you're creating (e.g. 12x12, 8.5x11)
X inches
Step 3: Measure the specific element on the layout you'd like to translate
X inches
The element on your page should be approximately:

X inches

Find out more about translating page sketches to different sizes in the May/June 2012 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine.

This seems like a wonderful gadget, but how does it work?
This needs to be fixed ASAP
I'm with musmom5. The final measurements don't come up. So, I'm assuming the calculation function was not followed through. Don't you folks check things out in-house to make sure they actually work before putting them on-line?
Calculator is not working
Really useful tool... but it won't calculate. Am I missing a button to click on or something?
