Scrapbook How To: Gesso Brick Technique

Create this brick background on your scrapbook layout!

The rough and brick texture and ink splashes not only fill white space but add understated distressing without being distracting.

How To:

Step 1
Mist the base with a golden toned glimmer mist. (tattered Angels Medallion was used here).


Step 2
Mix equal amounts of gesso and glass bead gel and then spread over a brick template.


Step 3
Lift template and let dry completely.


Step 4

Take embossing ink and rub it over the brick texture, immediately brush over gold and copper metallic powder pigments (Ranger Perfect Pearls was used here). Brush off excess powder.
