Accent/embellishments
We are looking for accents and embellishments for an upcoming article. These accents/embellishments should be created using leftover supplies. We are particularly looking for ideas around the following: 1.Cutting out the black outline on stamp packaging and using it as a transparency accent. 2.Plastic from packaging: die-cut into a shape and outline the edges with ink; crinkle it and use it as a stamp with paint; cut a shape from it and use it as a stencil. 3.Cardboard: turn into a photo frame or mat; use cardboard from ribbon packages as a cover for a mini album. 4.Use grass from Easter basket as accents. 5.Ideas for extra egg dye or Easter candy boxes. Please include instructions on how to make these accents. Lessons Learned
We learn some of our most important lessons from family members, and we're looking for your pages that showcase those lessons for an upcoming article. Did you learn how to sew from your grandmother? Did you teach your teenager how to drive? Did he teach you how to text? Did you learn about the importance of kindness by watching your kids play nicely together (for once)? Whether you learned the lessons or taught them, and whether they're funny or touching, we want to see your fresh, never-before-seen pages capturing them. Boys may be made of puppy dog tails, but what would we do without them? Whether the boys in your life are two or 52, we want to see your fresh, never-before-seen pages featuring those wonderful boys. If you've discovered a fun, "hey, try this" technique (easy to advanced) while working with your Cricut Expression, Crop-A-Dile, Epic Six or Creatopia tool, we'd love to see the results. We may even showcase your layout and ideas in our magazine! Preferred layout topics include: mom, dad, family, spring/summer, wedding or graduation. Fabulous Cover Photos
Would you like to see your photo on the cover of Creating Keepsakes magazine? We're looking for cover-worthy photos for an upcoming issue featuring parents and children together. Photos with strong composition, good lighting and smiling subjects with great eye contact will be favored over others. We're looking for two-page layouts featuring only 4" x 6" photos. We're especially looking for layouts where at least one of the photos on these layouts is matted.
