CK Scrap & Play is an overnight scrapbooking crop featuring 24 hours of cropping, classes, and activities for attendees to enjoy, including classes from Creating Keepsakes editors, contests, games, & prizes, one-of-a-kind projects, and products for classes! It's the perfect girls' night out and inspirational retreat.

CK Scrap & Play will be held Friday, October 15 — Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Provo Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Provo, UT

CK Scrap & Play Valley Forge will be held Friday, October 22, 2010 - Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Valley Forge Convention Center in Valley Forge, PA

At CK Scrap & Play there is no need to scramble to get into the classes of your choice; every attendee will receive every class, every activity, and every chance for giveaways and prizes!

What scrapbooking supplies should I bring to CK Scrap & Play?   (top)

  • Favorite pair of straight-edge, micro-tip scissors
  • Personal 12" x 12" paper trimmer
  • Favorite adhesives, both wet and dry
  • Large Acrylic Block
  • Baby Wipes
  • Black archival journaling pen
  • Paper piercer and mat
  • Stapler
  • Regular hole punch and 1/8" hole punch
  • 12" x 12" paper holder
  • Black and brown distressing ink
  • Corner rounder and/or favorite punch
  • A few favorite photos or projects to finish

Additional, optional supplies include a camera, paper and pen to take notes, and the tools you can't live without.
Tip: If you're coming with a friend, we suggest that you coordinate which supplies you'll each bring, and share with each other.

 In order to provide you with a more enjoyable educational experience be sure that you come prepared with your basic supplies: paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive runner, glue dots, brown ink, black Stazon ink, brown pen, corner rounder, large scallop scissors, large acrylic block, baby wipes, paper piercer and mat, green chalk ink and assorted circle punches in these sizes: 1 1/8", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 1 3/4". If you don't have all of these punches we will have a few that you can borrow at the event.   

I am traveling to CK Scrap & Play by airplane. Do FAA regulations permit me to bring my scrapbooking scissors?   (top)
FAA regulations do not permit passengers to bring scissors or cutting instruments of any kind in carry-on luggage. However, they may be packed in checked baggage. What do I do when I arrive at CK Scrap & Play?   (top)

Plan to arrive at the CK Scrap & Play host hotel Friday evening to pick up your registration materials. Then head into the Ballroom to receive your goodies, settle into your spot, get organized and get ready for the festivities!

When can I pick up my registration packet?   (top)

Provo registration pickup starts Friday evening at 5:30 p.m.

Manchester registration pickup starts Friday evening at 6:00 p.m.

Valley Forge registration pickup starts Friday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Here, you'll pick up your admission ticket which gives you access to all aspects of the CK Scrap & Play event.

What is the age limit for CK Scrap & Play students?   (top)
Students attending CK Scrap & Play must be at least 12 years old and be able to sit and participate in classes. No children under 12 will be permitted at the event.

Can I cancel my CK Scrap & Play registration?   (top)

According to our cancellation and transfer policy guidelines, yes. Please carefully check your calendar before registering for CK Scrap & Play. For a full refund, cancel no later than 30 days prior to the event.

To cancel your CK Scrap & Play registration, you must wait 24 hours after you register. Then simply log in to your student account and click the "Cancel registration" link at the bottom.

  • If you cancel after 30 days prior to the event, your cancellation fee is the entire admission amount; thus, you will not receive a refund. Refunds, where eligible, will be applied to the same credit card used to pay for CK Scrap & Play admission.

Will you accommodate my special needs at CK Scrap & Play?   (top)
Of course! We want to make sure that every student has a great time at CK Scrap & Play. If you have special needs, please notify us ahead of time so we can help make your CK Scrap & Play experience as enjoyable as possible. Please e-mail us at events.info@creatingkeepsakes.com and let us know how we can assist you. The CK Scrap & Play host hotel is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and they will do everything possible to accommodate your needs.

Is it safe to purchase products or services from other event attendees?   (top)
When planning to attend a CK event, you may meet groups or individuals online on various message boards or in person, selling products or services. Creating Keepsakes and Creative Crafts Group, LLC does not sanction or accept responsibility for these activities-- they are conducted independently by outside sources. We do want to warn you that there have been problems in the past where attendees have paid for products they didn't receive. We urge you to use your best judgment when purchasing items from independent groups or individuals.

Can I arrange to swap projects with fellow attendees?   (top)
As you prepare for CK Scrap & Play, you may want to swap items at the event, such as ribbon, tags, or cards with groups or individuals you meet online. Rooms or meeting spaces for these and other outside activities should be arranged with the hotel independent of the CK Scrap & Play event. You may not sell items or conduct activities out of hotel rooms, and any such activities cannot be in direct competition with the event. Independent swaps are not planned or conducted by Creating Keepsakes, and we do not accept responsibility for these activities. We urge you to use your best judgment when arranging activities with independent groups or individuals.

Are food and beverages allowed at the CK Scrap & Play event?   (top)

Food and beverages are allowed in the CK Scrap & Play event space. After all, what is a crop without yummy treats! There are delicious food and beverage options at our host hotels, or outside food may be brought in as well. Please be conscientious and courteous of those around you and be careful of spills.

Are airfare or hotel accommodations included in the price?   (top)
Neither airfare nor hotel accommodations are included in the price of CK Scrap & Play admission. However, as a special offer to our CK Scrap & Play Provo attendees — when you book your room* at the Provo Marriott for the event, you will receive a $25 discount off of the price of admission. 

Each attendee staying at the Provo Marriott will receive the $25 discount off the price of admission, even those sharing a room. Be sure to tell the hotel the names of each person that will be staying in the room (up to 3 per room). After CK Scrap & Play, each of the guest names and hotel stay will be verified. Then the $25 credit will be applied to the credit card which was used to register for the CK Scrap & Play Provo event.
