Q: What if my computer doesn't read the CD?

A: Please verify the disk is in your computer's CD drive and follow these instructions:

Windows users – Insert the "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD/C: drive on your computer. On your computer desktop, double click "My Computer", then under "Devices with Removable Storage", double click the CD Drive labeled "Lisas_Favorite_Fonts". Then, double click the "Install_Instructions" file. You've found your new fonts CD and installation instructions!

Macintosh users – Insert the "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD drive on your computer. On your computer desktop, double click the CD icon LISAS_FAVORITE_FONTS. Double click the Install_Instructions.txt icon. You've found your new fonts CD and installation instructions!

Q: I'm occasionally having trouble using quotation marks or apostrophes. What's wrong?

A: Some software uses smart quotes differently than others. You probably need to turn off the smart quotes in your software.

Microsoft Word for Windows users – Open the application Microsoft Word. In your tool bar, open "Tools", then select "Replace as you type". Click on the "AutoFormat as you type" tab. Uncheck the "Straight quotes" with "smart quotes" box. Then click "OK".

WordPerfect for Windows users – Open the application WordPerfect. In your tool bar, open "Tools", then select "QuickCorrect". Click on the "SmartQuotes" tab. Uncheck the "Use double quotation marks as you type" box. Then click "OK".

Microsoft Word for Macintosh users – Open the application Microsoft Word. In your tool bar, open "Format", then select "AutoFormat". In the "AutoFormat" box, click "options". Under the "AutoFormat" tab, uncheck the "straight quotes with "smart quotes" box. Then click "OK".

For Windows 98

Insert "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD drive on your computer.

Open "my computer" on your desktop.

Right-click on your mouse on the CD-ROM labeled "LISAS FAVORITE FONTS."

Select "Open" on your tool bar.

Double-click on the Windows_Fonts" Folder.

Select "Edit" on your tool bar.

Then choose "Select All."

Select "Edit" on your tool bar again.

Then select "Copy."

Open "My Computer" again.

Double-click your "C:" drive.

Double-click "Windows."

Now click the "Show Files" button.

Double-click the "Fonts" folder

Go to the tool bar again and select "Edit."

Select "Paste."

For Windows ME

Insert "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD drive on your computer.

Open "my computer" on your desktop.

Right-click on your mouse on the CD-ROM labeled "LISAS FAVORITE FONTS."

Select "Open" on your tool bar.

Double-click on the Windows_Fonts" Folder.

Select "Edit" on your tool bar.

Then choose "Select All."

Select "Edit" on your tool bar again.

Then select "Copy."

Open "My Computer" again.

Double-click your "C:" drive.

Double-click "Windows."

Now click the "Show Files" button.

Double-click the "Fonts" folder.

Go to the tool bar again and select "Edit."

Select "Paste"

For Windows 2000

Insert "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD drive on your computer.

Open "my computer" on your desktop.

Right-click on your mouse on the CD-ROM labeled "LISAS FAVORITE FONTS."

Select "Open" on your tool bar.

Double-click on the Windows_Fonts" Folder.

Select "Edit" on your tool bar.

Then choose "Select All."

Select "Edit" on your tool bar again.

Then select "Copy."

Open "My Computer" again.

Double-click your "C:" drive.

Then double-click "WINNT."

Click the "Show Files" button.

Double-click the "Fonts" folder.

Now select "Edit" in your tool bar.

Now select "Paste"

For Windows XP

Insert "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD drive on your computer.

Open "my computer" on your desktop.

Right-click on your mouse on the CD-ROM labeled "LISAS FAVORITE FONTS."

Select "Open" on your tool bar.

Double-click on the Windows_Fonts" Folder.

Select "Edit" on your tool bar.

Then choose "Select All."

Select "Edit" on your tool bar again.

Then select "Copy."

Open "My Computer" again.

Double-click your "C:" drive.

Double-click "Windows."

Now click the "Show Files" button.

Double-click the "Fonts" folder.

Go to the tool bar again and select "Edit."

Select "Paste"

For Mac OSX

Quit all applications you currently are running on your computer.

Insert "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD drive.

Click on the "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD icon on your desktop.

Select the folder "Mac_OSX_Fonts" on the CD.

Drag and drop the fonts in the "Library" > "Fonts" folder on your hard drive.

For Mac OS9

Quit all applications you are currently running on your computer.

Insert "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD into your CD drive.

Click on the "Lisa's Favorite Fonts" CD icon on your desktop.

Open the folder "Mac_OS9_Fonts" and drag the file named "LB_MacOS9_Fonts.hqx" onto your desktop

Double click the file "LB_MacOS9_Fonts.hqx" on your desktop and StuffIt will automatically extract the fonts file. StuffIt is already included within your web browser software. You can also download a free version of Stuffit.

Once the fonts have completed extracting, drag and drop the fonts folder into your hard drive folder titled "System Folder" > "Fonts."
