How do I log in to my account?

The user accounts from creatingkeepsakes.com, simplescrapbooksmag.com, and papercraftsmag.com have all been migrated to the new community site--CreatingKeepsakes.com: A community for scrapbookers and paper crafters. Moving the user accounts was a fairly straight forward process: All accounts maintained the same passwords that they previously had, and the username is either the same username that existed previously or is the email account you used to register for your account.

  • CreatingKeepsakes.com account holders can log in using their same username and password.
  • Simplescrapbooksmag.com and Papercraftsmag.com users can log in using their email address as their username and their same password.

Does my username and password stay the same?

  • Creating Keepsakes users can log into the new sit using their current username and password.
  • Simplescrapbooksmag.com and Papercraftsmag.com users can log in using their email address as their username and their same password.

What if I have forgotten my username?
If you have forgotten your username, you can use the same process as if you have forgotten your password. The password and username will both be returned to you via e-mail. You must use the same email that you used to register for the site.  you can request that a new password and username be sent to you here.

What if I have forgotten my password?
If you have forgotten your password, you can request that a new password be sent to you here.

Transition from the “older” sites
Where did the items I uploaded to the gallery go?
We made every effort to migrate all information from user accounts on the old sites to the new community sites. Unfortunately, because of the structural difference between the old sites and the new sites, we were unable to migrate the different galleries to the new sites.

What happened to the Simple Scrapbooks and Paper Crafts magazine sites and communities?
The old Simple Scrapbooks and Paper Crafts sites are still available for a limited time. The content from the magazines will be transferred over to the new magazine sections on this site. Once that process is complete, we’ll turn off the older sites. However, you’ll still be able to directly access content from your favorite magazine by typing the same URL: simplescrapbooksmag.com and papercraftsmag.com.

The message boards and other interactive features on the simplescrapbooksmag.com and papercraftsmag.com websites will remain functioning on the older sites until the sites are turned off in approximately 60 to 90 days. However, there are new forums set up here so that you can continue to participate in a similar community.

What information will be migrated from the former sites?
We anticipate moving as much of the archived magazine content as possible to the new sites. We also anticipate that projects and other online-only editorial content will be moved over. Unfortunately, we will not be able to migrate user gallery content or the forum information from papercraftsmag.com or simplescrapbooksmag.com.

When will the information be migrated from the former sites?
We anticipate that archived information will be migrated from the former sites to the new sites within the next 60 to 90 days.

Where did my “clubs” or “swaps” go?
The current clubs or swaps that exist on the “older” sites will remain functional until the older sites are turned off.  However, we have provided a much more robust and functional method for you to organize swaps and clubs. You can find out more about using the new groups functionality here.

When will the “old” sites that I am familiar with be turned off?
We will turn off the old sites after users are familiar with the new site and after editorial content has been migrated to the new site.

Why did I lose post counts during the transition from the old site to this one?
We only migrated some of the forums from the old site to this site. Topics that have a different functionality on this site (such as swaps and clubs) did not have their forums transferred. Therefore, all of the posts associated with those topics no longer are considered in your post counts.

Why can’t I purchase CK Media products on this new site?
We have been working hard on all of the new features at CreatingKeepsakes.com: A community for scrapbookers and paper crafters. The new shop will be ready on August 1. Until then, please feel free to shop at www.creatingkeepsakes.com/shop.

Site Features
What else can I look forward to?
The CreatingKeepsakes.com website is not complete. We will continually work to provide new features to the website. You can look forward to RSS feeds, enhanced profiles, and a new and improved shopping experience.

What is the workspace?
The workspace is where you can manage all of your activities on the new CreatingKeepsakes.com: A community for scrapbookers and paper crafters. Here you can manage your project galleries, blogs, friend relationships, and favorites.

How do I upload a picture to represent me online (an avatar)?
To upload an avatar for your profile, simply click the “Upload Avatar” button that appears directly below your user name in your personal workspace.

Why must my videos be hosted on YouTube before I can upload them to this site?
We utilize YouTube to host videos for the CreatingKeepsakes.com website. We do not currently have the ability to upload videos directly to the CreatingKeepsakes.com website. This allows us to have any user upload their own videos to have it shown on the site.
