From Digital Scrapbooking Volume # Issue # | December January 2008
Notice of Change
Lin Sorenson

E-mail

Dear CK Media employees, readers, and loyal contributors,

I am saddened to share the news that, due to difficult conditions in both the economy and the publishing market, CK Media has made the decision to cease publication of the print version of Digital Scrapbooking magazine after the February/March issue (on sale Jan 6, 2009).

Although we are discontinuing the magazine, we still believe in, and are committed to, digital scrapbooking as a growing segment of the market. We are evaluating more cost-effective ways to deliver relevant content to our tech-savvy audience, via web site and newsletter as well as possible digital delivery options.

The decision to discontinue the print version of our magazine resulted in a reduction of the editorial staff to two people. Jennafer Martin continues in her role as Editor in Chief for the brand, and Renee Pearson remains as Associate Editor.

Current subscriptions will be honored, and will be filled with CK Media product. More information about subscriptions will be available by the end of December, 2008. Information about subscriptions and other topics will be posted on the web site as information becomes available.  After December, if you have questions about your subscription, customer service information will be available at the number listed in the magazine.

As information becomes available, we will provide updates on our web site: www.digitalscrapbooking.com.

Look for the Dec/Jan issue on sale November 11, and the Feb/Mar issue on sale January 6. And thank you all for your loyalty and support. We have enjoyed our association with our loyal community, and we look forward to exploring new ways to share digital scrapbooking ideas with you in the future.

Sincerely,
Lin Sorenson
VP/Editorial Director

I am astonished that the first I heard of this was in the latest magazine that I received, the news has been out for two months and they didn't have the courtesy to inform subscribers. It also looks as if there is no information about what will happen to subscriptions yet, I don't need their other magazines as I order the ones I want from my local newsagent here in the UK. I have heard so many bad stories about UK subscribers to CK and SS not getting them that I have avoided taking out subscriptions from the USA and not getting what I've paid for.
They offer a phone number to contact about refunds but I'd rather not make an international call to sort this out!

Good luck to all and may this new year bring much better economic times. As a recent victim of the economic downturn of 2008 I can sympathize.

I will echo what many have said below. I have been a subscriber for a couple years and renewed my 1 year and unknowingly my husband renewed my subscription for me for 2 years as a gift...so we have a total of 3 paid years. Thanks "labtek" for providing the number to call to request a refund, you can bet I will be doing this as well.
I got a number of notices by mail to renew...but NOTHING about the mag being discontinued. Makes me wonder how many other subscribers have paid and do not still know that they will soon be getting a worthless magazine that they do not want. This lack of notification has prompted me to be sure to demand a full refund and not let the company keep any of it!

I am not angry that the magazine is ceasing publication. (Sad, yes.) I am angry because of what transpired with me at the beginning of the month. I called to renew my subscription because it wouldn't let me renew online. The rep, checked things out and told me that they were not ceasing publication, they were just being sold to Simple Scrapbooks, that they would continue publication and I would continue to receive a magazine. She then took my money for a renewal. If there was any doubt whatsoever that the magazine subscription would cease, she should not have taken my money. That worker should be reprimanded for misrepresenting Creating Keepsakes and/or the magazine subscription company.

I am a subscriber to digital scrapbooking, creating keepsakes & simple scrapbooks and you have thought instead of discontinuing this one they would have discontinued one of the traditional scrapbook magazines seeing that there are so many of them out there and only this one in print for digital scrapbooking. I just renewed this one for two years also and do not really want to add more time to my other subscription.
I just cannot believe that they would take down the archived copies from the digital site. It does not take manpower or extra money to keep them on a website whether it be this site or Creating Keepsakes. I am truly disappointed in this company and hope they will include digital scrapbooking in their other magazines for those who prefer digital over traditional afterall digital is the way of the future.

I too had just renewed in November for 2 more years. I also heard about the discontinuation of the magazine in an e-mail from Linda Sattgast. After checking this CK website I saw this notice. I like to read my magazines in other places besides the computer and I don't want Creating Keepsakes Magazine. SoI looked up the # for Subscription Services (1-888-247-5282) and called to cancel. I should receive a refund in 4-6 weeks. The publisher sent out renewal notices before CK decided to discontinue the mag. You other disappointed subscribers can also get a refund.
MarlaKing   | Registered | 2008-12-17 09:21:21
Like many others, I just received a RENEWAL NOTICE!!! asking for more money, when I should have received a notice that the magazine would be discontinued AND what you intended to do about my prepayment for a service that would not be coming.
Subscribers should have been the first to know. If you can send renewal reminders 1 year before the subscription ends, you can send a letter telling me the bad news and how you intend to make it right.
This way, it looks like FRAUD.

I too am saddened by this. I have loved the magazine and will miss it. I just now found out about this, not from CK, which I should have, but from Linda Sattgast. CK could have emailed me, I get a link to the online magazine every month, so they have my email address as I'm sure they do lots of other subscribers! They also could have sent us all a notice by mail! I am also so sad for all who have just lost a job at the magazine and hope you will all be okay and find new jobs right away!

I just renewed my subscription for 2 more years, and this brings back bad memories of the magazine under the first owner, I had just paid for a renewal and lost all my money, now here we go again! I don't understand why you are still sending out renewals, seems very underhanded to me, you should NOT have been accepting renewals when you knew you weren't going to fufull your obligation to the people subscribing!
kanadariboo   | Registered | 2008-12-16 08:43:38
I've just found out about the non publication anymore of the paper version of the magazine. I think I still have few issues to get by my subscription so what now?
I also wanted to say that I LOVED the December/january issue. It's full of tips and resources, and I can say it has been a long time since I haven't found an issue so complete and full of information. So why stopping now? you got so far and this was probably the best resource issue ....I hope I'll still get the online version at least. Like a lot of subscribers have already said, we should have got an e-mail or a mail telling us about it, and you shouldn't have let people subscribe recently....it's a fraud to them and not really give confidence to the rest of the subscribers. Let's hope you will honor the contract we all have with you.
NW Lady   | Registered | 2008-12-15 23:13:41
You know I love this magazine, I subscribed the very first issue. I understand the economy and the cost involved and realize many magazines are having a hard time keeping their productions going. This is understandable. What isn't, to me, is that you've continued to send renewal slips and still have a subscription link on this website. I just received a renewal in the mail last week, luckily through another group online I was informed the magazine would be no more. I think it's sad you haven't sent out mail to your subscribers and stopped the subscription mailings/links. This seems not correct to me! I hope the future will look better and you will be able to once again bring this print magazine to the digi world. I do so much online that I prefer to 'hold' the magazine in my hand and be able to refer back to it not look at it on a computer screen.

It's sad, but I have seen so many publications come and go in the last four years, so the demise of this one does not surprise me. Postage costs are high and demand is somewhat lower than for conventional scrapbooking. Hopefully CK Media will continue offering the publication as a PDF very much in its current incarnation, though it will be hard to accomplish with only the two-person-staff currently dedicated to it. I would like to continue seeing tutorials, freebies, blog listings, and also layouts with good, workable instructions on how they were created. Perhaps all this can accomplished through the offering of a special gallery, message board, and chatroom feature dedicated to digital scrapbooking right at the CK Media website; videos would also helpful. Additionally this could be aided by some form of a monthly email/newsletter containing links to items of interest (something like the Scrap Girls website does now). It's doable - but only CK Media can decide if they want to maintai...

On top of the Scrapbook Etc. digital magazines, there are many, many digital websites out there that offer great newsletters full of awesome ideas and inspiration to help keep us all going! Hope this little bit of info helps cheer you ladies up a bit anyway, just knowing that there are other places to turn to cure our digital craving!!
jiller33   | Registered | 2008-12-09 17:22:08
I am not a subscriber to this particular magazine as I have gotten into more of the digital scrapbooking in the past year. I do own a few issues to help get me going. I would like to say to those of you out there that don't think there are other digital magazines on the market; rest assured, there are in fact more digital scrapbook magazines! I highly recommend and suggest the digital mags by Scrapbooks Etc., a sister magazine by Better Homes and Gardens. I have found TONS of great info, layouts, freebies within them. I don't think they actually have monthly, or bi-monthly issues, but they do come out with magazines several times a year. Who knows, maybe if everyone else starts contacting them they will see the need for more of a regular circulation, and jump on the band-wagon. Just a suggestion to all of you that are frustrated...I know how hard it is to finally find something you really like, only to have it taken away just as quickly.
ctgardengirl   | Registered | 2008-12-08 13:48:34
I too am so very disappointed that this mag is being discontinued. I finally found a mag devoted to 'digital' scrapbooking, only to get my first issue and discover it's being canceled. I don't' want to read it online! I do enough online as it is. I want something 'in hand' to refer to, so I can read it as I try it on my computer, as a reference tool. I canceled most of my other scrapbook mags just for this one. I had finally found a mag about what I was most interested in. I understand the economy - another mag(unrelated) was discontinued because of this too. Just know that I'm very disappointed, and hope that maybe when things improve, we will see this come back in the print version. Thank you in advance!

I am subscribed for 2 more years and want to know how to get my subscription money back. I have never scrapbooked traditionally and have no interest in starting now. I also do not do hybrid. I am 100% digital. The only way I will not insist on getting my money back is if you actually have an online magazine that I can download a pdf version of to print and/or save. I do not want any other CK Media product, I just recently subscribed to Creating Keepsakes magazine and never even look at it. Why not discontinue that instead of Digital Scrapbooking wich is the only magazine that is 100% for digital scrappers. Please consider doing an online magazine and not just an online newsletter though that is better than nothing. Please take care of your subscribers and loyal customers by giving us something for our subscription other than a brush off.

for my copy to come in the mail (after seeing it in the bookstore) and I decided to look at the online version to pass the time. Great Christmas present I decided to buy myself and my sister. :(
MGMum   | Registered | 2008-12-06 18:31:57
Okay, I'm also kind of pissed about this because I just subscribed on October 14th for me AND my sister, and neither of us have ever received an issue, nor will we likely. I understand the economy blah, blah ad nauseum, but seriously, isn't this the ONLY publication for digital scrappers? I've never seen anything else like it, and while I understand it's a niche market, most people into digital scrapping would maintain their subscription to the ONLY magazine aimed specifically at their interests. I am not at all interested in anything CK Media has to offer OTHER than digital scrapping, I'd rather have my money back. While I appreciate the online version, I don't have a laptop, and I like the convenience of a magazine to haul around. Like others, I find myself referring and reading my magazines over and over. I only have about 4 issues, as they've been difficult to find, but I've read and reviewed them countless times. I found this article, because I was tired of waiting anxiously...
kesmith99   | Registered | 2008-12-04 00:39:45
Ok...I can understand that "difficult conditions in both the economy and the publishing market" may be the reason for the magazine to discontinue publication. But how do you explain sending out "renewal notices" (just received one on 12-02-08) when there will be NO MORE MAGAZINE! I loved this publication...I read it from cover to cover and told all may friends (who were into scrapbooking) about it. For the past year, I've waited patiently for each issue to arrive in the mail. Now my patience has run out! This is fraud and completely dishonest!!! I feel sorry for unsuspecting readers (as seen in other posts) who were excited to find this great resource, and will soon be found with a subscrition and NO magazine to show for it. Shame on you Digital Scrapbooking :-(
stomper   | Registered | 2008-12-03 19:07:03
I just subscribed to the magazine, and received my first issue. Now I just found out there is only one more issue. Hope I can get the rest of them on line.
ontiptoe   | Registered | 2008-12-03 15:18:58
I am very saddened to find this on the website instead of as an email that all subscribers should have received. I HOPE that the online version will continue and that we as users will be allowed to PRINT any of it that we want to since we will no longer have a print copy to read away from our computers. I have a 1 & 3 year old and to be honest the only time I have sometimes to myself is when I have closed myself in the bathroom - not very conducive to reading online only available content. PLEASE keep the magazine going, at least online and PLEASE allow us to print it at home!
femjailcop   | 169.155.33.1 | 2008-12-03 12:59:34
I LOVE this magazine. While I really enjoy having a magazine to "hold in my hands", I would hope that CK Media will at least be able to keep it going on-line.
If they're discontinuing it, I wonder why I received a renwewal request from them THIS WEEK. Odd.
Ruth A.   | Registered | 2008-12-02 22:52:54
As a subscriber I was very upset to learn that Digital Scrapbooking Magazine is to be discontinued. It is the best magazine for digiscrappers and I hope CK Media can keep it going even if it is only online.
5minutemajor   | Registered | 2008-12-02 15:35:37
I actually found this message trying to find a way to renew my subscription online after receiving several notices in the mail that I need to renew before I receive a service interruption. FUNNY! Looks like there will be a service interruption for EVERYONE!!!! I am very disappointed in the fact the magazine is being discontinued as well as the way it was handled. It appears to be a "sneaky" way to still get funds for subscriptions AND unload CK crap at the same time. I do subscribe to another CK magazine, but now am seriously considering renewing this as well. I feel you have been dishonest sending renewals knowing full well that you were discontinuing the magazine. Shame on you!!
Joyagg   | Registered | 2008-11-29 19:28:01
I found this article by accident - have been a charter subscriber and heard NOTHING about this until a few minutes ago. I understand the economy, but I feel like those of us who have chosen to go strictly digital are being deprived of the one magazine that addresses our wants and needs. There are TONS of other types of scrapbooking magazines, why not cancel one of those? I am disappointed to lose the one magazine I look forward to receiving. I preview the online version, but as many others have said, I dogear my pages and read and reread the articles. What are we all to do now? I DO NOT want CK product...it will not meet my needs...I hope they can keep some type of digital website, but even that will be a disappointment after having had the magazine...
ALtLCountryHeart   | Registered | 2008-11-28 22:51:06
I agree that there are other things to be concerned about but I am very unhappy with the way this was handled. There should have been a direct letter sent to current customers and we should not be getting offers to resubscribe. I realized the other day that I did not receive my Dec/Jan 2009 issue and can guess this is why. I am even more confused on why I was not informed of this when I emailed to ask about my copy today. I am surpised we had to find out online.
rmbrewster   | Registered | 2008-11-26 04:27:07
I just read some of the other comments. I was hoping to get some ideas from others on what to do about my money. I know there are things to be thankful for and I do "love and enjoy my family" but I am still angry. I also know about the reccession and the troubled economy. That's why I was careful to choose only one magazine to subscribe to. I do not have the money to order something I will not use. Yes this does have an effect on me and my money. We should have options on other subscriptions or our money back.
digiheaven   | Registered | 2008-11-25 15:41:33
I can understand the decision to stop this magazine. That doesn't mean I am happy about it, but I do understand. The thing I don't understand is why I keep getting notices in the mail to renew. I get one every 3 weeks or so. This company could save some money if it quit sending out so many renewal notices to people who have subscriptions that don't expire for almost a year. I also think it is very deceptive and dishonest to continue sending out renewal notices when the company knows the magazine will not be around to honor those subscriptions. I understand cutting your losses, but dishonesty is an entire different matter.
mrg0908   | Registered | 2008-11-22 20:05:54
I'm not angry. Just sad. A lot of magazines go belly up because they just are not bringing in enough revenue. I do agree that 1) Subscribers should have been the first to know. I shouldn't have found out about your decision via a newsletter of another company. If you can send reminders for me to renew your mag. 1 year before the subscription ends, you can send a letter telling me the bad news. 2) You definitely need to turn off your "Subscribe Now" links. That's just not right. 3) We shouldn't have to scroll down to almost the bottom of your home page to read about the magazine's demise.

BTW, I am sorry to see DSM go, but I'm not having money I paid for this magazine transferred to another subscription, and that is that.
sroller   | Registered | 2008-11-22 12:39:13
I am also very angry with CK for this decision. I do get Simple Scrapbooks for design ideas but I get DSM for digital help and ideas. I didn't use the online version except to get a preview of the magazine because it was too hard to read on the computer. I waited for the paper copy to really read it. I just got a notice in the mail to renew when I had just renewed a month ago (for $5 less than I paid to renew last month). So now I am paid up until Feb/Mar 2010 so I wasted $20 on magazines I will never get. If I could get that $20 transfered to my SS subscription that would be okay but in reading other comments of people who talked to customer service, that isn't going to happen. I don't want CK product either. We do digital and don't use paper products. DUH! And why did I just find out about this on another site? Why didn't we get an e-mail? You have all our e-mail addresses because that is how you notify us of the online version being available. Unless SS starts catering ...
wererich   | Registered | 2008-11-21 20:04:44
This makes me mad. It's the only magazine that I look forward to reading. Like a lot of comments here, I dog-ear my pages and come back to more. A digital version is nice, but I don't read digitally most of the time. I read laying in bed, or while I'm riding in a car. I can't believe it's going away! I'm so not interested in the other magazines and hope I can at least get some kind of a refund on the remaining portion of my subscription. I also hope they don't have plans of getting rid of the current digital versions we have bookmarked. That would really ruin it for all of us.
Cheddarella   | Registered | 2008-11-20 14:13:43
This is so sad. I'm very sorry people have lost their jobs. I would love you to continue as an online magazine, certainly I would subscribe to that. It's true, there aren't many magazines for digital scrapbookers and I loved yours.
graygirl   | Registered | 2008-11-19 12:47:08
I am also disappointed, considering I just signed up for a year subscription three weeks ago, and will only receive one magazine in my mailbox ~ HOWEVER, have you had the news on and noticed a troubled economy? Has this business decision affected your ability to buy a turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas presents for your children? Count your blessings ladies, and direct your energies to gratitude, rather than anger. Our troubled times are still filled with clean water, food and opportunity and look like heaven to a lot of the world. I am not saying that having a "subscribe now" link still available is a good idea, or think that CK Media has handled this flawlessly, I just think we need to keep things in perspective. Now, go love & enjoy your families!
luvmynewf   | Registered | 2008-11-19 09:04:39
I am so sad. I too have dog earred pages. The cover is missing from one magazine. I LOVED getting this mag. in the mail. I bring at least four with me wherever I go. There is always something new to see, no matter how many times I look at it. I only subscribe to one mag. DSM. It saddens me greatly, because your other magazines don't hold any interest to me at all. :(
suthnheart   | Registered | 2008-11-17 12:17:59
i am very disappointed about no longer having a print version of the magazine. :( i love previewing it on my laptop, but nothing beats my dogeared pages and having it to snuggle up with under a blanket. or in a deck chair. or in a boring waiting room. i will cancel my subscription that i've paid though 2010 because i don't want ck media product ~ i want my magazine. this is my FAVO magazine ~ People mag is the only other one that i get upset about being late/missed.

I am very disappointed that you will no longer be producing DSM, I subscribed in August this year, after trying to find it in the Newsagent, I live in Australia and it was becoming hit n miss whether the local newsagent got a copy or not. So I decided to subscribe to the paper copy and the digital copy. I received 2 digital copies and the following note on an email:

Ok - so i live in South Africa - subscribed 3 months ago and did not receive a single issue - what happens now. I DEMAND a full refund - it costs alot of money here to subscibe to these mags - there should be some sort of backup plan avaialbel
Silly   | Registered | 2008-11-15 23:37:35
Interesting how your Subscribe Now page still works but the Contact Us and Customer Service ones don't - could explain why you're experiencing low readership even when you were not only the only game in town but also very well put together, as those above me have commented on. I know that I didn't subscribe for years after the first release because I had so many problems getting deliveries. Sadly now that those problems seem to be somewhat resolved (still missed 2 print issues this year) you announce the demise. Perhaps your house cleaning should have been in the distribution and customer service area. I wish all the best for those that lost their jobs.

I am a charter subscriber... so this is really sad for me. The only thing I could think of that could have gone wrong was the launch of the magazine. I was really surprised that the company had trouble with subscriptions, getting them out (I was missing the second issue, and then I got two!), and turning around the bad reviews on the boards about it through good customer service. A lot of people decided not to try the mag b/c people are touchy with their money and don't want hassle (rightfully so).
I love the paper version, and I love way the digital version is set up (I hate .pdf ezines!). I will not want my last issue to be anything BUT a digital scrapping mag, b/c honestly, I don't own physical brads, papers, and staples.... nor do I care to. I am 100% digital.
kaytebug   | Registered | 2008-11-13 22:40:03
Well, I just talked with customer service tonight, to check on my subscription. I'm glad
I didn't mail in my renewal last month - was waiting for this paycheck. Which means I only have one magazine left after the "last issue."
Which is good, because when I asked if that credit would be applied to one of my other CK subscriptions, the customer service agent said "no."

My option now - cancel before the last issue, and be refunded $2 ish - and not get the last issue.

I realize one issue is a piddly complaint, but your above message states "will be filled with CK Media product," and you gave a date of by the "end of December 2008"....your customer service people have no clue about this...basically I was given the impression of "too bad, so sad" (in a nice way...)

I'm sorry to see you go. I understand the media business is tightening their belts in this economy.

It's too bad you were a victim of the recession.
Coffeebean   | Registered | 2008-11-13 18:10:50
This sucks. DSM is my very favorite magazine. The only publication that I read cover to cover. It reaches a very target market that is just beginning to be recognized. I agree with krystlleo, of all the magazines to cancel, this was not the right choice.
tbcarter2002   | Registered | 2008-11-12 15:55:56
I, too, was very upset at this news since I (1) found out about it from another source and (2) had just paid to renew my subscription which was good until Feb/Mar 2009. I also do not wish to have it honored with other CK media. I also just received something from you wanting me to extend the subscription another year. I'm glad I didn't send that one in. I much prefer the paper version over the online version but would prefer that you refund the amount I just paid for another year's subscription.
SeansNonnie   | Registered | 2008-11-12 14:02:52
I, too, sympathize with your position. However, I have absolutely no desire to have my subscription "filled with CK Media product." I subscribed to Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. I no longer have any desire to do traditional scrapbooking nor to I construct "hybrid" products.
It is my sincere hope that you will continue production until current subscriptions are filled with product purchased or issue immediate refunds to those who so desire.
Commitment? I hardly think so...at least NOT to the subscribers.
I am so sorry for those who were fired as a result of your commitment. I wish for them a much better job in the very near future.
kcerrato   | Registered | 2008-11-12 10:08:20
I sympathize with your position as a result of the economy, but I feel it was unfair of you to send me an e-mail asking for payment for my new subscription when the magazine will no longer be published. Under the circumstances, it would have been more honest for you to inform new subscribers that of the situation before asking for payment.
KimJo   | Registered | 2008-11-11 21:44:47
I am very saddened to hear that this is no longer being published. I to am upset that it is being stopped with very little notice. I am also one who just sent in the renewal for 2 yrs. I am already subscribed to the other 2 magazines and am concerned about how it will be honored. Most of the other media i already have so i definetly do not want duplicates. I would prefer a refund of my money over other media. I truly enjoyed the paper version more so than the other magazine which did just the digital. My magazine could go anywhere and be much more easily tucked away than a laptop, It is a shame such a good thing is being let go. The tech age is great but sometimes old fashioned paper is still the preference when looking for resources and inspiration. Lvoe digital scrapbooking, hate the thought that we are losing a great resource.

How come it is still possible to subscribe to the magazine? What about the ones that doesn't see this notice which is placed in the bottom of the page?

While I am saddened that this magazine is no longer continuing and wish the best for the people who have lost their jobs, I am upset at the way this has been handled. I subscribe and get the digital version and yet I found out about this from an email FROM ANOTHER COMPANY. I think an email should have been sent out to subscribers. I also think that a plan should have been in place before the announcement was posted to the website. When something like this happens, you have to be prepared for the questions that will follow. Telling me I have to wait until possibly the end of December to find out what will happen to my subscription that I just renewed is just not good. I am not interested in any other CK Media. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I chose this magazine to subscribe to and not another.

I am very saddened to hear that Digital Scrapbooking Magazine will no longer be providing a paper version. I love this magazine and just recently renewed my subscription and bought a gift subscription for my sister who is just getting into digiscrapping.

This was the only magazine available that was totally digital and as that is how I scrapbook it was perfect.

I am sorry for those who have lost their job and hope that by some miracle things will turn around and this magazine will be able to continue.

Oh I'm so sad about this decision. I just heard about this decision on another bulletin board. I absolutely loved this magazine. I subscribe to a lot of magazines and this is the only one I can't wait to receive and read from cover to cover. I think my subscription doesn't expire for a few years. Ugh.. Hopefully we have a choice in which magazine we would like it replaced with. I already subscribe to other CK magazines.

I am so very disappointed with this news; I just renewed my subscription for two years!! Now I am left with an up in the air promise. I only do digital scrap booking, so this magazine was perfect for me. It offered so many new ideas and solutions. I use the digital edition but really prefer the print one to take on trips, and the always errands where I must wait forever. God bless the people who lost their jobs. Hope you find a way to continue the print edition for us.

Yesterday, I picked up my mail and found a letter from you asking me to renew my subscrription for two more years. I made out the check and filled out the card right then and there. I was goinng to drop it in the mail on my way to work in the morning. Now I find this. I am so glad I did not mail it. My current subs. is good until the June/July issue. I really do not want the other magazine. If I had wanted it, I would already be getting it. I would prefer to get all of the issues you owe me, but if I can't, then I would prefer a refund. I will miss your magazine. It introduced me to the world of digi scrapping. Will the past issues still be available on line? Where do we find the answers to some of these questions? I really enjoyed this magazine, it was well done and so helpful.

I find it difficult to believe that this magazine wasn't through the roof with subscriptions! There are not enough DIGITAL scrapbooking mags around, and it will be sorely missed.

I am truly sadden by this news, as it was because of an issue of digital scrapbooking specialty issues (before the every other month magazine) I read that turned me onto digital scrapbooking. I do hope you continue with an ezine issue, as I would subscribe to that. There is NO magazines on the market that even have decent dedicated columns to the computer savy girls that we are! I have learned so much from your magazine- it has changed the way I scrap & the way it makes me try new techniques. Of all the magazines to cancel- this was not the right choice.

Just like everyone else I am terribly disappointed in your decision. This is truly an outstanding magazine. I save almost every page filed according to learning topic in a 3 ring binder. My subscription runs through Feb/March of 2011! I do not want another magazine as a replacement for this one. Please, please reconsider.

I'm really sad this great magazine is going away. I, like so many enjoy the magazine I can touch and pour over again and again. This has been a truly exceptional magazine. We live in a very tough economic time, the worst I've seen in my lifetime, my parents lived through the Depression. We've had so much for so long, we are truly a blessed and sometimes (maybe frequently) very spoiled people here in the US. I'm sure this decision did not come lightly. I wish all the best to the staff that is now going elsewhere, when one door closes another opens.....

Oh, I'm so sad to read this news. Digital Scrapbooking is my favorite magazine now. I wish the best of luck to the former employees, and hope that, indeed, the online (or better yet, "digitally delivered") does continue!

I've been buying Digital Scrapbooking magazine at the bookstore and just as I was considering subscribing to it, you go and cancel it. This magazine is a great source of information to digital scrappers and I, for one, will miss it greatly. Will you at least consider continuing it as an ezine? Surely, you must know that the digital scrapbooker market is growing by leaps and bounds.

With the huge increase in digital and hybrid scrapbooking, it seems almost impossible that your magazine would be losing money. It is the only print digital scrapbooking magazine in existence. I am hugely disappointed in its demise. I am a subscriber to CK and SS as well, but neither of them really feeds my digital magazine needs. I would truly hope that you would reconsider this decision.

I second the motion - please continue the online version!!

Plus - I already subscribe to CK Magazine as well - I don't want 2 of those magazines to fulfill my DS subscription...is there aomething else you will be sending?

Would you at least consider keeping an online version of this magazine? It would be a shame for a publication of this quality to just pass away. I agree with "halswife" below...this "vibrant and thriving digital community" will continue whether DSM does or not.

As for those lovely women who lost their jobs, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Something more wonderful must surely await you.

Will you at least consider keeping an online version of Digital Scrapbook Magazine? The quality of this publication exceeds the majority of others. It would be sad to see it pass away completely.

However, I like"halswife" comment about the "vibrant and thriving digital community." We will continue in spite of decisions like this.

For those who lost their job, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Oh I feel so badly about this. This mag was the high light of my collection. Job well done to everyone! I will miss this magazine!

I am truly sorry to hear of your decision to discontinue the publication of Digital Scrapbooking Mag. These are truly tough times we are in. I have so enjoyed this magazine. I agree with
