Create waves on cardstock with blue paint and modeling paste.

Here's how to get this this effect:

1. Paint a piece of chipboard light blue.

2. After the paint dries, smear it with modeling paste. Notice the rough texture of the paste and how it doesn't fully coat the painted chipboard.

3. If desired, embed seashells into the modeling paste. Or, glam it up by sprinkling clear glitter on the modeling paste.

4. Tear the chipboard edges for extra texture and visual interest.
