Day 5 Class: Swimming Lessons |
Summer isn't complete without a chance to splash in the water, whether it's a trip to the lake or the beach or the local pool. What better way to scrapbook your pictures of these fun times than by creating water-like looks on your pages? Take a look at the following ideas and techniques then dive in and try one on your next summer page.
Beginner class
Cut wavy shapes or scalloped edges to create beachy looks.
Notice how the blue flourish combined with the white scalloped border strip creates a subtle wave effect.

"Fun" by Laura Kurz.
Use an upside-down scallop edge to make fun wave shapes. Cut and layer two shades of blue cardstock for extra snap.

"Summer Fun 2007" by Kim Crothers.
Cut blue patterned paper into gentle wavy shapes. Accent with silky ribbon ("seaweed") and gems ("bubbles") to enhance the look.
