Free Guitar Template Download |
In the June 2009 issue, we showed you how to embellish a guitar accent for a rockin' look (see page 64). If you're ready to create a guitar of your own, download this guitar template as a PDF or PNG file, and then follow the instructions below Allison Davis's rockin' layout.

Create a Jammin' Guitar
Follow these easy steps to create a cool guitar:

1. Draw or trace a guitar design onto the back of patterned paper. (Note: Or download the image using the links above and print it on patterned paper.) Cut it out.

2. Cut four 1/4"-tall strips of dark cardstock and adhere them to the guitar shape to create the frets. Use a ruler and pencil to draw five lines for the guitar strings (about 1/4" apart), then stitch over the lines. Note: If you prefer not to stitch, you can use craft wire for the guitar strings.

3. Add a brad to the top of each stitched line for a finished look.
