Computer Tricks: Create Translucent Text |
Adding translucent text in Photoshop Elements is super-easy. Follow these instructions to add translucent text to your next project.
1. First, open the photo you plan to use on your layout and select File > Save As. Rename your photo so you don't save over your original.
2. Next, click on the Text tool in the tool bar and select a thick font. I chose Impact. Type your text.
3. When you are finished typing the text you wish to make translucent, click directly on your text layer in the Layers Palette and click on the black arrow in the Opacity box. Click on the slider bar and adjust the opacity level to your liking. I selected 75 percent.
4. Finally, to add additional text, click on the Text tool and select a different font. Type your additional text. If you wish to add more translucent text, repeat step three.
