Saturday: Touchdown! Scrapbook Your Successes

Jennafer Martin

With a few smooth moves, football players sometimes celebrate their success in the end zone with a "touchdown dance," cheered on by adoring fans. But you don't have to be an athlete to celebrate--and scrapbook--your successes. Whether you accomplished a goal, overcame an obstacle, or got through a struggle, scrapbook it. These pages may be some of the most memorable ones you create.

Challenge #1: Celebrate Accomplished Goals

Athletes train hard to hone their skills for the big game. What have you trained for and accomplished? Whether you've broken a mental sweat studying for a big exam or a physical one training for a 10K like Leigh Penner, all that work is something to be proud of--and to scrapbook!

Challenge #2: Show How You Shine

You may not have thousands of fans cheering you on in a stadium, but your cheering section at home or work may have a lot to say about what you uniquely contribute there. Celebrate that success on a scrapbook page, sharing some of their praise and your thoughts or feelings about it, as Jen Erickson did on her "Rock Techer" layout about she makes her classroom a fun place to be.

Challenge #3: Scrapbook a Struggle

While football players struggle to tackle a defensive lineman, sometimes our life struggles are even more difficult to tackle. It may not be easy to include these stories in our scrapbooks, but they make up important pages that tell the story of our lives. Create a page about a struggle you or a family member has faced, like Carrie George did about her son's struggle with dysgraphia.

Challenge #4: Prove That Practice Paid Off

Running drills helps athletes practice important skills that are essential for a good performance. Likewise, it takes practice for us to learn skills to get through life. Why not show off the practice and achievement of those skills in your scrapbooks, like Michelle St. Clair did by showing off her son learning to tie his shoes?

Challenge #5: Celebrate Changes

It may take a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to perform the perfect play on the football field, but any woman can tell you that's nothing compared to sticking to a weight-loss plan. Take your cue from Celeste Smith, and celebrate this success by scrapbooking your feelings. You deserve it!

It's Challenge Time

Whether your successes are large or small, scrapbooking them tells your story. We challenge you to create a page celebrating your successes, and upload it in our online gallery today. There, you'll find an even bigger crowd of fans to cheer you on and celebrate along with you!
