Tips and Tricks: Paper Yoyo Flowers |

With this scrapbooking technique by Creating Keepsakes reader Kimberly Neddo, you can create yoyo flower accents on your layout with ease, no matter the season. Planting your paper garden is simple. Here's how:
1. Punch or cut a 2 1/2" circle from cardboard, and cut 4" square from patterned paper.

2. Wet patterned paper completely to soften, and then pat off excess water.

3. Gather and pinch paper together in center, and secure with either thread or small rubber band.

4. Carefully open paper around cardboard circle, rubber band end facing down, and wrap; set aside to dry.

When it comes to adding handmade scrapbooking accents to your layouts, don't stop at flowers. Check out our simple circle-punch technique, which shows you how to create a sun accent that will pop right off of your next scrapbook page.
