Supply Savvy: Using Transparencies |
There are many benefits to using transparency sheets on your scrapbook layouts, from adding a smooth texture to using them for layering. But, did you know you can pair this sleek supply with hand stitching? With this transparency tip from the talented Amy Tan, featured in our September 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine, you'll see through the basic approaches and find a new reason to love this clearly cool supply.

A Transparency Title
Add a one-of-a-kind title to your next layout by combining a transparency sheet with a little hand stitching. A paper piercer will go through transparencies without the risk of the holes tearing. So grab your paper piercer and follow these simple steps to create your own hand-stitched transparency title:
1. Write title (or portion of title) on transparency using fine-point pen.

2. Pierce holes in writing using paper piercer and piercing mat.

3. Hand stitch through holes using needle and embroidery floss.
