The Texas Star by Robyn Schaub. Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper; Patterned paper and rhinestones: Imaginisce; Stickers: American Crafts, BasicGrey, and Imaginisce; Die cutting machine: Provo Craft; Dies: Imaginisce and Provo Craft; Spray mist: Maya Road; Adhesive: 3M, Beacon Adhesives, and Xyron; Other: Baker's twine.

Design Tip: Tickets make great accents on layouts about day trip adventures like visiting the fair, carnival, circus, zoo, water park, or theme park. Use tickets as a border, like Robyn Shaub did along the top of her layout, or make them into a banner, like Joannie McBride did on her layout.

First Time Adventures at the Fair by Shelly Jaquet. Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper; Patterned paper: BasicGrey, Crate Paper, Making Memories, My Mind's Eye, and Sassafras; Stickers: Jillibean Soup; Ticket and rhinestones: My Mind's Eye; Punches: EK Success and Fiskars Americas; Staple: Ranger Industries; Pen: EK Success; Fonts: Bohemian Typewriter and Calibri; Other: Adhesive.

Journaling Tip: If you've got a lot to say on a layout, use your text box as a border, like Shelly Jaquet did on her layout.

Design Tip: Loosen up a blocky layout design by slightly slanting some of your photos-it will help the design feel more spontaneous. Circle accents will also soften the strong linear design.
