Scrapbook Your Heroes and Role Models

by Joannie McBride

Take time to scrapbook the role models and heroes in your life!

Our lives are made up of not only our stories, but the stories of loved ones, friends, and individuals who have made a difference in our lives, no matter how big or small the impact. These people are the ones we admire most because they inspire us, encourage us, and simply make our world a better place by being in it. Scrapbook what about these individuals makes them a role model to you.

Here is even more inspiration to help you create layouts about a hero in your life.

Document a Special Relationship You Have with Your Role Model

It's important for us to let others know how they have influenced our life, and scrapbooking is a terrific way to document all the reasons we look up to others. You can write a letter to someone you respect and include it on your layout to describe how this person has helped you and the gratitude you feel for having her in your life, just as Stacy Cohen did on her layout.

Journaling Tip Tuck your letter into an envelope or attach it to the back of your layout if you'd prefer not to display it on your layout.

Scrapbook a Letter Written by Someone Else

Journaling from someone else's perspective is important because it captures what another person feels about somone. Ask someone else, such as a son, daughter, or other relative to write a note or letter that you can include on your layout, just as Noel Culbertson did with the letter from her daughter, which expresses her daughter's appreciation for her father and the great example he is in her life.

Journaling Tip For an easy way to incorporate a large letter on your layout, scan the letter into your computer and resize the image using photo-editing software. Then tuck the original note behind your layout in your album.
