Create completely unique accents for your scrapbook pages using buttons from your stash and a few textured supplies. With ideas using fabric, yarn, twine, pom poms, and lace, you're sure to find a button-topper to complete your layout design.

Button Topper #1: Fabric

Cover a button center with a small scrap of fabric for added texture. This is a great way to make use of those small scraps you may have on hand, and fabric comes in many styles, making it easy to find something that will coordinate with your paper projects.

Button Topper #2: Yarn

Affix a glue dot to the center of a button and spirally wrap yarn for a playful look. This technique would be extra fun using multi-colored yarn to create a lollipop button.

Button Topper #3: Lace

Wrap a button in a scrap of lace for a completely feminine look. This would look lovely on a wedding layout or a heritage scrapbook page.

Button Topper #4: Floss

Enfold a button in embroidery floss for quick texture and interesting lines. This button would be fun at the top of a tag or as a mini album closure.

Top a button with a pom for a completely whimsical feel-a great addition to any birthday or playtime page.
