Quick Summer Mini Album with Grid-Based Design |
Mini scrapbook albums are a fantastic way to document your summer memories because they keep all your stories together in a way that allows you to look at the season as a whole. By using two or three different grid designs throughout your album, as well as a variety of scrapbooking products, you can create a mini album that is simple to create yet fresh and exciting to look at. Here are just a few of the page designs you can make your own:

Draw a Grid and Punch Out Photos

Use a pen to draw a simple grid on your mini album pages and fill it with photos that you've punched out using a small square punch. Or fill it with a single photo that you've punched into a mosaic! By matching the size of your grid spaces to a punch you have on hand, you can create a mini scrapbook album page in a flash. And the uniform photo sizes will make the mini album page look clean and well thought out.

Sew Photos to Cardstock

If you own a sewing machine, you can create a mini album page that's loaded with extra details but won't take much extra time. Make the photos in your mini album stand out by sewing them to the scrapbook page using a dark or contrasting colored thread. By deliberately using thread that stands out, you pull the viewer's eye right to your photo grid. Bonus? Sew additional photo squares to a larger photo that fills an entire page for an unexpected, cool accent detail.
These mini album ideas are a great way to get more photos on a layout, whether you're scrapbooking a full-sized album or a mini album. Learn how to pack 25 photos into a single scrapbook layout.
