Design a Showy Flower and Butterfly
Irene Tan creates spectacular transparency leaves with stamps and alcohol ink. Here's how to extend the idea to flower and butterfly transparencies!

Flower and Butterfly by Irene Tan. Supplies Flower: Prima; Butterfly stamp: Autumn Leaves; Brad and black paint: Making Memories; Dimensional paint: Liquid Pearls, Ranger Industries; Glitter adhesive: Stickles, Ranger Industries; Pen: Zig Painty, EK Success; Other: Transparency.
To create the flower:
1. Trace around a flower accent onto a transparency.
2. Cut out the design.
3. Outline the edges with Zig Painty or paint markers.
4. Dress up the flower with Liquid Pearls from Ranger Industries.
5. Let the petals dry, then fold them up slightly for dimension.
6. Add a brad or jewel as a flower center.
To create the butterfly:
1. Stamp a design onto a transparency using solvent ink or acrylic paint.
2. Cut out the design.
3. Decorate the butterfly image with Stickles from Ranger Industries.
4. Fold the wings up slightly for dimension.
