July/August 2011: From Cute to Cool

by Joannie McBride

From Walkman to iPod

Isn't it crazy how far and how fast technology advances in just a few short years? Your child may have once listened to music on a cassette in a boom box-and today, music is digital. A great way to show the progression of your teen's electronic devices is to create a layout like Jordan Hebl did that includes photos of both the music he or she listens to as well as the media players. Other ideas for this design include

* remote control cars,

* video games, or

* movies.

Music to My Soul by Jordan Hebl. As seen in the July/August 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine.

It's a Time Machine Page
I love how this page covers three different stages of a kids life. This is a great idea for those scrappers who don't know where to start. Just look for a central theme amoungst your photos and pull your pictures from differnt time periods. It a great way to express change, maturity or the transitions in life. I have done the this type of page with my brother holding my son at different times of his life. It shows the progression of their relationship.
