Creativity Heals: Physical Challenges |

In each issue we highlight one way a reader has used scrapbooking as part of the healing process. Brenda Johnston created this scrapbook page to reflect on the difficulties and blessings from physical challenges she's faced over the past several years.

Hope for Tomorrow by Brenda Johnston. As seen in the September 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine.
After being diagnosed with Crohn's disease and also suffering a miscarriage, Brenda wanted her children to know what she had been going through and why she couldn't always be at family outings. She wanted them to know how her faith had sustained her during a difficult time. Creating this layout helped Brenda see that "despite [her] not-so-fun circumstances, [she has] so many blessing in [her] life to be thankful for."
Challenge
When you are experiencing a trying physical challenge, create a layout about what you are going through and what you are feeling. Your family will appreciate your honesty and sincerity, and may be able to use your story to help them as they face hard times. Your layout may also help you see more clearly the blessings that have come with your challenges.
