Creativity Heals: November/December 2010
During times of fear, stress, uncertainty, or loss, scrapbooking and creativity can play a substantial role in the healing process. Throughout 2010, Creating Keepsakes is promoting our "Creativity Heals" campaign to encourage this healing. We invite you to share your creative talents, time, and extra scrapbook and craft supplies to help those in need. In each issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine, we are spotlighting a different way to use your creative talents to help yourself or others who may be in need of healing.
Scrapbook to heal from loss.
Scrapbooking can help you heal during those times when you've suffered a loss, whether it is the loss of a friend, family member, pet, home, job, or anything else you care about. Photographing objects and places that remind you of what or who you lost is one outlet for your feelings as you grieve.
If this time of year brings you together with others who have suffered the same or a similar loss, share your photos and memories with each other, building a comforting support system. Collect your photos and thoughts together on a layout or other form of artistic creation, making something you can turn to for comfort later, when other support systems may be less available.
