Select related elements and group/overlap them
Just like every tree in the forest, elements on a scrapbook page should not stand alone. Have you ever seen one lonely tree standing all alone while you've been on a hike? Probably not. Have you ever happened upon a palm tree and a pine tree standing next to each other? Again, probably not. The point we are making is that you should select items that relate to each other (or the story you are trying to tell) when creating a layout. Notice how Cindy Tobey overlapped her photo with her adorable handmade flowers and added a cute bee with swirls to reinforce her design? Clever!

Thanks for taking this fun journey with us! Remember, as scrappers we can often find ourselves uninspired, stuck-in-a-rut, or plain old exhausted by having to come up with yet another design idea for a page. Ali Edwards has some wonderful tips here on how to break out of a creative rut. Check out her ideas and keep creating. We love to see the treasures you make and share!
