CK Sketches: September 2010 |

With spaces for ten photos, this issue's sketch is perfect to scrapbook an afternoon, an event, or just a lot of favorite photos all in one layout. With a title and journaling lines that enfold photo spaces, there's little to distract from the photos being your page's focal point. Plus, because this sketch calls for minimal embellishments, you can complete your page in less time!

One Afternoon with You by Joey Manwarren. Digital Supplies: Paper, embellishments, flower template: Erin Clayton; Fonts: Amelie and American Typewriter.
Design Tip: Add Applicable Accents
One of the best parts of designing with a sketch is how the different elements are open to interpretation. Joey Manwarren's layout shows that well--in the areas where circles appear on the sketch, she added floral accents, just the right touch to reinforce her layout's theme of "girl time" with her daughter. Try adding accents that reinforce your layout's theme--whatever their shape--in place of the circles for striking results.
