CK Sketches: January 2011 |

This issue's sketch has a playful arrangement of photos and boasts an ample amount of white space (the open areas on the layout that enhance your design). You'll love the flexibility of this sketch and how you can adjust the white space to suit your design needs as you customize this design for your own layouts.

Yummm! by Cindy Tobey, as seen in the January 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes.
Use the Sketch: If you have mostly vertical phoso for your layout, but the sketch calls for horizontal shots, don't stress! Just reduce your photos to wallet size and fit two of them in each horizontal photo space. The great thing about this solution is that you'll be able to fit even more photos on your layout.
Why the White Space Works: Because Cindy Tobey packed the center portion of her layout pretty full from left to right, she left white space along the top and bottom edges of her pages. You can do this on your layout too, to let the white space serve as a border to frame your pages.
