CK Sketches May/June 2010 |

This issue's scrapbooking sketch allows your photos to have the spotlight. With seven spots for full-sized 4" x 6" photos, you can scrapbook an entire event on one layout or showcase several photos from a special moment. And with minimal embellishments, those photos can take center stage, creating memorable pages that will add a simply fabulous touch to your album.

Congratulations by Megan Hoeppner. Supplies: Cardstock and patterned paper: Doodlebug Design; Letters: American Crafts, BasicGrey, and Doodlebug Design; Chipboard accents: me and my BIG ideas; Journaling spots: Jillibean Soup and Making Memories; Brads: SEI; Pen: Sakura; Adhesive: Therm O Web.
Design Tip: Switch Up Shapes
Although the sketch calls for a round element at the top, Megan Hoeppner's layout features a star, which accentuates the theme: her niece's accomplishment earning her GED. Don't be afraid to switch up shapes or other elements as needed to better accent your layout.
