How Laura Onosato Emphasized Her Focal Photo

Placing the focal photo away from the photo grouping, as Laura did, gives it prominence. You can also mat or double mat the focal photo to raise its status in the visual hierarchy (order of importance) of your layout.

Sketch Tip

Draw your viewer's attention to a special photo by isolating it on the left side of the layout. Group your other photos together to the right of it.
