CK Shows You How To Use Rub-Ons |
You can use rub-ons as-is to spell out titles or add decorative illustrations to your scrapbook layouts, or, you can embellish them to create charming, crafty accents. This technique is easy to do and yields appealing results. Scrapbooker Kelly Purkey applied a large, green tree rub-on to kraft cardstock. She cut it out, adhered it to her scrapbook layout with foam squares and accented it with bird and flower embellishments.
How-to: Create an dimensional accent with rub-ons and cardstock
Using rub-ons with cardstock and foam squares is simple--it only takes three steps!
1. Cut design from sheet and position on cardstock, tacky-side down. Rub image with stylus.

2. Carefully lift the release sheet, ensuring image has transferred. Re-rub image as needed.

3. Cut design from cardstock, leaving a thin margin. Adhere to layout with foam squares.
