Becky's Sketch |
New Sketch + New Techniques
I love that people focus more on gratitude in November. Many of us find ourselves in tune with our blessings and give thanks for life's greatest joys. This month, maybe you'll want to dedicate a layout to all that you're thankful for or make a tribute to someone, scrapbook style. This month's sketch could help with that or with getting any other layout done, no matter what it is. I am certainly thankful to have another layout checked off my list. That means more of my family's history and life experience is preserved for good.

What We Did after the Reunion by Becky Higgins. Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper; Patterned paper: Fancy Pants Designs; Corner-rounder and circle punches: EK Success; Fonts: Gill Sans (journaling) and Letter Gothic Standard (title); Adhesive: Easy-Stick Double Stick Adhesive, Duck Products.
Design tip: One of my favorite design techniques is to extend a block-whether it be a photo, a journaling block or a cluster of multiple elements-with a strip of patterned paper and rounded corners. As seen on this layout, it enhances the visual cohesiveness of everything.
