Becky's Sketch |
This month, I'm taking a break from my usual linear approach to scrapbooking. This sketch is a fun way to cluster a handful of pictures around one main focal-point picture. The easiest part is that you can crop (or digitally resize) all your smaller pictures to be the same size. In my case, I made all the small photos 3″ x 2″ and the main picture a standard 4″ x 6″. Use this sketch to get another layout done in your album! Here are two layouts I created based on the sketch. For more examples, check out my "Becky's Sketch" column in the July 2009 issue of Creating Keepsakes.

Toys by Becky Higgins. Supplies Patterned paper: Scenic Route; Letter stickers: American Crafts; Swirl stamp: Fancy Pants Designs; Paint: Plaid Enterprises; Ink: ColorBox, Clearsnap; Pen: Zig Writer, EK Success; Frame overlay: Stacked Vintage Frames No. 02 by Katie Pertiet.

Family Reunion by Becky Higgins. Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper; Patterned paper: KI Memories; Bookplate: BasicGrey; Brads: American Crafts; Font: Gill Sans.

Try these variations on this month's sketch! You can download them in a PDF file for your binder.
