Add Light to Your Layouts Digitally |

Holiday light can be as simple and beautiful as the still, soft glow of the moon on a winter's night. Re-create that peaceful look on your scrapbook layouts using Photoshop Elements 8 and the fonts of your choice. Give this simple digital light effect a try on a layout about your child sleeping and dreaming of Santa.

How to create a glowing title

1. Type title using Horizontal Type Tool. Go to Layers Palette menu; select Soft Light.

2. Click Layer > Layer Styles > Style Settings to open Layer Styles menu.

3. In Layer Styles menu, add small Drop Shadow. Add Outer Glow (size: 50, opacity: 20). Add Bevel (direction: up, size: 5).
Hint: Before adding your bevel, play around with your colors to match your Outer Glow to your background paper.

4. Click OK, and adjust Layer Style settings to your taste.
